GENERAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Principal Duties:

• Provide technical and instructional Support to the cybersecurity lab
• Provides timely technical support to faculty, staff and students
• Maintains all lab equipment and keeps adequate manuals and maintenance logs for equipment and parts
• Recommends solutions to continuously improve lab operations
• Receives, installs and maintains lab equipment and supplies
• Demonstrates the use of equipment within the lab
• Support the execution of the lab experiments
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor

The successful candidate must :

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in general VMWare administration and monitoring and management tools.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience with Cybersecurity.
• Working knowledge and experience for User access and permissions.
• Working knowledge of DNS, WINS, AAA, DHCP, SMTP, and SNMP.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools.
• Familiarity with log aggregation and SIEM tools such as SolarWinds.
• Working knowledge of Kali, Linux, Microsoft, Windows Server 2003-2012, platform(s) required, and working knowledge of SQL-based relational database(s).
• Working knowledge with TCP/IP and LAN/WAN network protocols, firewall configuration/management, and operating system configuration.
• Operation in VLAN structure configuration and management preferred.
• Authentication concepts and management preferred.
• Working technical knowledge of scripting code using Microsoft Powershell, BASH, Python.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
