Job Description



Purpose of the role

This role will act a CO-Pilot to the Managing Director taking full commercial and operational responsibility of the company. The incumbent will play a major focus across the strategic overview contributing towards Sales/Production/New Client Generation/ Managing Existing Client Relations and Suggest changes in the existing operation flow of the company.

Major Areas of Responsibilities
  • The general manager will be responsible to oversee the day-to-day operations of the company.
  • Responsible for strategy making for the overall growth of the company.
  • Responsible for ensuring the development of tactical programs to pursue targeted goals and objectives like budgeting, forecasting and overall performance throughout the year.
  • Create value for shareholders through effective strategy development, infrastructural development, efficient operational control and organizational development, policy and procedure deployment, quality management, marketing and sales management, team building, effective planning of goals, objectives and tactics of the organization while at the same time minimizing and mitigating exposure to risk.
  • Providing a new direction and leadership to the company, developing & implementing, global sales strategies while managing the day to day operational activities of the company..
  • Responsible for Sales and Operation for domestic and internationally. Responsible for achieving comprehensive sales & marketing targets defined for Order bookings, revenue collections, pricing, Delivery, customer satisfaction & profitability
  • Set-up annual sales targets and profit expectations and work closely with sales team to achieve corporate revenue goals
  • Develop Sales incentives programs and track performance on monthly and quarterly basis
  • Establish and adjust selling prices, and keep a tab on pricing structures, expenses, gross margin, and profitability.
  • Lead the team in achieving cost and schedule objectives on sold projects.
  • Direct and review the overall planning of projects activities to identify milestones and priorities
  • Rationalized suppliers and negotiated price reductions & payment terms in agreements
  • Conduct regular visits to contractors\' head offices abroad and cultivate strong business
relations with project teams and decision makers. Introduce the company\'s products and services and discuss technical details and contractual terms & conditions, for potential project
  • Consistent track record of meeting and exceeding revenue objectives.
  • Person should be aware of the product / client base and having good contacts in the market
  • Should be able to lead from the front , get the best out of the team and should be able to replace non-performing assets
Qualification and Minimum Requirement
  • MBA Preferred, Bachelor\'s Degree in Civil/Structural/Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 12-15 years of experience successfully leading a Manufacturing - Building Material/Civil/Structural/Fabrication industry business segment and a proven track record of growing a business.
  • Person should be aware of the product / client base and having excellent contacts in the market
  • Should be able to lead from the front, get the best out of the team.
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills. (Oral and written)
  • Ability to self-start and motivate a group of individuals to act as team towards a common goal.
  • Analyze cost and forecast data to ensure alignment with the Division\'s goals and objectives.
  • Build a team culture by recruiting, motivating and training the staff.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with multi-tasking alongside time management skills and the ability to prioritize and plan.
  • Excellent analytical skills, financial acumen, and attention to detail.
  • Computer proficiency.
