- The General Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a metal manufacturing facility. This includes overseeing production, quality control, and safety procedures to ensure that products meet specifications and are produced efficiently and safely. The Manager will also be responsible for managing the budget, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the production of metal products, including scheduling and coordinating production to meet customer demands and deadlines
- Ensure that products meet specifications and quality standards
- Maintain inventory levels of raw materials and finished products
- Manage the budget, including forecasting and controlling costs
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working order
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Hire, train, and manage a team of production workers and supervisors
- Monitor and improve efficiency and productivity levels
- Communicate with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to maintain positive relationships and resolve any issues that may arise
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or a related field
- 15+ years of experience in manufacturing or production management
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Proficiency in budgeting and financial management
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Preference will be given to the holders of the Canadian and Australian nationality
