General Manager for Building Materials Distributor

Job description:
We are a global company that manufactures and distributes laminated veneer lumber to wholesalers and large construction companies worldwide.
We have recently installed a large warehouse in the Middle East and are seeking a General Manager to oversee efficient distribution and help us grow in this new market.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Overseeing warehouse workers and organization
Processing sales and invoicing
Trucking and distribution set up and management
Basic accounting
Experience/knowledge required:
Minimum 10 years in a senior management role
Accounting software such as Quickbooks
UAE business structure and legal requirements
Import and export including required documentation
Local taxes including import, export and VAT
Basic contract, laws and compliance
Fluent in English
Computer proficiency
Business degree preferred, but candidates with high levels of industry experience will also be considered.
Experience in timber/LVL/building materials is preferred but not required
Dubai-based applicants only, no relocation costs will be considered
