GENERAL MANAGER - CONSTRUCTION required urgently for a reputed Business Group for their Construction Division: . Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction management . 10 years' experience in the similar role in UAE and managing a large construction company with projects of multistorey building, villas, shopping complexes and industrial buildings etc. . Good knowledge of different business functions in construction. . Strong leadership qualities. . Excellent communication skills. . Proactive nature. Responsibilities: He will be responsible for the management of design, construction, logistics procurement and budgets to ensure the efficiency of time, quality and cost of assigned projects. He will be required to plan and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors. . Thorough knowledge of contract language claim process and legal requirements of construction contracts across a variety of contract... types. Ability to review major complex bespoke contracts in the building and civil engineering sectors to identify and communicate risks and mitigation strategies to the bid teams. . Prepare detailed project management and construction schedules for construction, restoration and refurbishment projects. . Lead the project team to monitor construction progress, including worker productivity and compliance with building and safety codes. . Work with senior management and other stakeholders to ensure all projects are completed before schedule, of excellent quality and within the budget. . Implementation of systems and processes to guarantee cost and timeline efficiencies & reporting practices etc. . Create periodic reports for various projects and prepare weekly projects snapshots and action plan. . Coordinate and manage Architects, Designers, Consultants, Purchase & Admin personnel, Technical Teams, Contractors, Vendors, Supervisors etc. . Ensure a strong reporting system as per requirements of senior management and track the same. . Lead regular project review meetings with senior management and stakeholders.
