Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and resourceful
Commercial Manager
with a proven track record of setting up and running small businesses or start-ups. The ideal candidate will take ownership of our commercial operations -- including business development, marketing, sales, and finance -- to drive sustainable growth from the ground up. You will play a pivotal role in establishing and scaling the business, bringing strategic insight and hands-on execution to all key functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Setup & Strategy
Assist in shaping the company's commercial direction and go-to-market strategy.
Oversee day-to-day operations during the initial phase of the business.
Develop business plans and ensure all functions align with overall goals.
Sales & Business Development
Build and manage a sales pipeline from scratch.
Identify, approach, and convert new business opportunities.
Set pricing strategies, sales targets, and performance metrics.
Marketing & Branding
Develop and implement multi-channel marketing plans (digital, offline, partnerships).
Set up and manage campaigns, social media, website, and branding assets.
Analyze market trends and customer feedback to optimize positioning.
Financial Management
Set up basic financial systems (budgeting, bookkeeping, cash flow monitoring).
Create financial reports, forecasts, and cost structures.
Work with accountants, auditors, or external partners as needed.
Operational Oversight
Define and document operational workflows and processes.
Coordinate procurement, vendor management, and logistics if applicable.
Build and manage a lean team or freelancers as the business grows.
Requirements:
Proven experience in setting up and running a small business, startup, or commercial project independently.
5+ years of experience in a commercial, operations, or business development role.
Strong knowledge of marketing (digital & offline), sales processes, and CRM tools.
Solid understanding of finance, budgeting, and P&L management.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to multitask and adapt quickly.
Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
