Our client, who is a local manufacturing business based in Abu Dhabi, is looking to hire an experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of manufacturing organization. The general manger will have a dual role, overseeing the supervision of support staff at headquarters as well as actively managing factory operations.

Role:

• Oversee the management of Finance, Accounts, Sales, Marketing and Factory Operations
• Develop and implement innovative strategies to streamline factory operations
• Assist in setting up the factorys 5-year Business Plan and its growth strategy
• Assist in the development and preparation of the strategy and general business planning of both the factory and the organization
• Overall responsibility for performing all duties in compliance with related legal/statutory regulations, best practice guidelines, ISO certification
• Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
• Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping, and collaborate with factory supervisor to establish and execute quality control processes
• Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and manage and develop factory staff, screening, training and advising in recruiting new factory workers
• Prepare production reports and monthly overall operations and financial reports, submit and present them to the companys Board to key decision-maker

Requirement:

• Bachelors of science degree in industrial management, logistics, or related field
• A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
• Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a factory ideally as a Plant/ factory Manager
• Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (finance, accounting, sales, marketing, budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
• Certification in production and inventory management as well as quality control
• Sound knowledge of industry-specific factory equipment and technical expertise
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
