is looking to hire a General Underwriter to join our technical team in Dubai. Reporting to the General Manager the incumbent will be responsible for the entire general insurance underwriting process through a variety of technical tasks.
Responsibilities
Basic knowledge of underwriting principles and policy forms.
Collect appropriate and accurate information required to quote. Provide suitable Quotations with Comparison Sheet.
Review insurance applications for compliance and adherence
Coordinate with Salesperson Clients for the required Information for policy placement related etc.
Review policy and endorsement applications correctly along with the complete documents and send for processing OR upload onto the appropriate Portals.
Evaluate policies in accordance with the company's underwriting standards.
Keep detailed records of policies underwritten and decisions made along with their related documents in particular folders and PRAKTORA
Ability to prioritize work and perform within time constraints.
Provide necessary information to Accounts and coordinate with them for any information required.
Assisting the client for any of their Queries related to the Policy
Weekly reporting to the manager
Follow applicable insurance laws and work within the same

Education, Experience and Formal/Professional Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 1 year of experience in General Insurance.
Experience in dealing with insurers.
The ability to manage clients, distribution teams, and insurers.
Experience in handling claims.
