Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Site Supervision & Coordination (Daily Operations):

Directly supervise and coordinate the daily activities of all civil work crews, foremen, and subcontractors on-site. Allocate daily and general responsibilities, ensuring optimal deployment of manpower, equipment, and materials. Ensure all work is executed strictly according to technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project plans.

Quality and Productivity Management:

Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure all civil works (e.g., structural concrete, formwork, steel fixing, blockwork, earthworks, drainage) meet the required standards. Monitor and drive the productivity of the workforce to ensure adherence to the project schedule and budget. Identify and resolve site-based operational and technical issues promptly to minimize delays.

Safety and Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols, company policies, and local UAE regulations (including UNEC's specific safety standards). Conduct daily "Toolbox Talks" and regular safety meetings; address any non-compliance or incidents immediately. Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of all materials, tools, and equipment.

Reporting and Communication:

Produce daily, weekly, and progress reports on work status, labor attendance, and material usage to the Site/Project Manager. Liaise effectively with site engineers, Project Managers, consultants, and other trade foremen to maintain a smooth workflow.

Resource Management:

Manage labor attendance and maintain accurate records for timekeeping and payroll purposes. Identify requirements and coordinate the timely requisition of materials, tools, and equipment needed for upcoming tasks.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

Diploma or technical certification in Civil Engineering or a related field is highly preferred.

Experience:

Minimum

5-7 years of continuous experience

as a General Foreman (Civil) or Senior Foreman, with a proven track record of successful project delivery in the

UAE construction industry.

Sector Knowledge:

Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale civil works, preferably on

high-rise building, infrastructure, or major commercial projects.

Direct experience on UNEC sites or similar Tier 1 contractor projects is a significant advantage.

Technical Skills:

In-depth, practical knowledge of construction methods, materials, equipment, and quality control standards for civil works.

Leadership:

Exceptional leadership, team management, and disciplinary skills with the ability to manage and motivate a large, diverse multi-cultural workforce.

Language:

Fluency in English is essential. Knowledge of Hindi/Urdu/other relevant construction-site languages is a strong asset.
