Role Overview

The General Cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall tidiness of the museum's galleries, play areas, restrooms, and public spaces. This role ensures a safe and welcoming environment for children, parents, staff, and visitors at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning of galleries, play zones, classrooms, party rooms, restrooms, and all public areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect floors and surfaces regularly. Ensure all high-touch areas (doors, railings, handles, toys, interactive installations) are sanitized throughout the day. Clean and restock restrooms, including soaps, tissues, and other supplies. Maintain cleanliness and organization of back-of-house areas, staff rooms, and storage areas. Follow proper waste disposal procedures, including segregation and safe handling. Report any safety hazards, damages, or maintenance needs to the supervisor immediately. Assist in setting up and cleaning after events, workshops, and birthday parties when required. Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored correctly. Uphold hygiene and safety standards in line with Dubai Municipality and company guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills

Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or facility maintenance (experience in hospitality, entertainment, or child-focused environments is a plus). Understanding of basic cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with children and families. Good communication skills and a positive attitude. Physically fit and able to stand, walk, and lift moderately heavy items as part of daily duties. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and shift schedules.
