We are looking for a Temporary General Accountant & Tax Specialist to join our Accounting and Tax team in Dubai. This is a 6-month temporary role that will provide critical support in ensuring accurate financial reporting and timely tax submissions during a peak workload period.

What youll do

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in accordance with IFRS and Henkel internal policies. Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. Assist in maintaining the general ledger and reconciling balance sheet accounts. Support in the preparation of internal and external audits. Collaborate with other finance functions including Controlling and Treasury. Assist in preparing VAT and other tax filings in compliance with UAE tax regulations. Support with tax reconciliations and respond to queries from authorities when needed. Ensure proper documentation and compliance for all tax-related matters.

What makes you a good fit

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. 2-4 years of experience in accounting and/or tax functions, preferably in a multinational environment. Solid understanding of IFRS and UAE tax regulations (particularly VAT). Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems is a strong advantage. Strong Excel and data analysis skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to meet deadlines and work independently. * Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
