Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

General Accountant

to manage and oversee the daily financial operations within a retail environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Monitor cash flow, bank balances, and perform regular bank reconciliations. Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. Maintain general ledger and ensure proper classification of accounts. Oversee inventory accounting, cost of goods sold (COGS), and stock reconciliations. Process payroll or coordinate with payroll service providers as required. Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations (if applicable). Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Collaborate with store and warehouse teams to ensure accuracy in reporting and inventory data. Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 2 to 3 years of accounting experience in UAE, preferably in the retail sector. Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and inventory management. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle). Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

Retail industry experience is highly desirable.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
