General Accountant
Location: United Arab Emirates
Industry Preference: Construction, Heavy Machinery, or Real Estate
Experience: 4+ years (UAE experience mandatory)
About the Role:
We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented General Accountants to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting within the UAE, particularly in construction, heavy machinery, or real estate sectors. This role requires expertise in VAT compliance, financial reporting, and ERP systems, with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closing.
• Handle VAT compliance, including preparation, submission, and reporting in line with UAE regulations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and budget variances.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies.
• Utilize ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) for accounting processes and reporting.
• Collaborate with internal departments to support financial planning and auditing activities.
• Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis as required.
• Ensure compliance with UAE financial laws, regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of accounting experience in the UAE, with preference given to candidates from construction, heavy machinery, or real estate industries.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and implementation.
• Proficient in financial reporting and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software.
• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
• Arabic language skills are a strong advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
