Education

Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or another appropriate field

Experience

10 years

experience in oil/gas industry. Experience in safe low, medium, and high-voltage electrical isolation procedures including 400 v, 3.3 kV, 33 kV and 132 kV systems. Must have 5 years' experience maintaining Gas insulated Switchgear in power companies Must be competent in hazardous area classification and electrical equipment requirement.

Should have completed either IECEX or COMPEX training and have a valid certification.

Experience in computerised maintenance management systems Must be self-motivated and capable of making rational decisions based on available information and prevailing conditions. Must be able to read and interpret electrical circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics as well as Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID). Must have a strong knowledge in gas insulated switchgear operation and maintenance. Must be able to interact and communicate effectively in English, in writing and verbally, with individuals in a cross-cultural environment internally and externally as required. Valid United Arab Emirates (UAE) driving license or ability to obtain one in short period

Job scope:

Perform various tasks in operations, and maintenance of Medium Voltage (MV) and High Voltage (HV) electric gas insulated distribution facilities including circuit breakers, power transformers, control systems, structures, on all company's operated onshore assets' substations. Responds, at any given time, to all trouble relating to Substations, and more generally to any electrical issue as directed by the electrical supervisor, to provide optimal availability, reliability and cost optimization whilst ensuring that the highest safety and environmental standards are maintained.
