Create original garment designs, technical sketches, and detailed specifications.
Select appropriate materials and trims that align with the design concept and budget.
Collaborate with pattern makers and sample makers to develop prototypes.
Review and approve sample garments and provide detailed feedback for revisions.
Ensure designs meet brand identity, market demands, and pricing strategies.
Participate in fittings and quality assessments of garments during the production process.
Work with merchandisers and marketing teams to align designs with customer preferences and commercial goals.
Maintain design documentation and update design boards or CAD systems as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field.
Proven experience as a garment/fashion designer or similar role (typically 2-5 years).
Strong sketching, CAD (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, CLO 3D), and design software skills.
Excellent knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and sewing techniques.
Creative flair with a strong eye for color, detail, and fashion trends.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
