General Accountant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to manage and oversee daily accounting activities, maintain financial records, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking. Monitor daily accounting activities and ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors. Manage VAT filing and other statutory compliance related to accounting. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed. Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and payroll. Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve financial processes.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience as a General Accountant or similar role. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or similar). Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Good communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred:

Experience working in companies located in Mussafah or Abu Dhabi region. Knowledge of local labor laws and regulatory requirements.
