This role requires a strong understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, tools, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or design plans for furniture production.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood or other materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines.
Install fittings, hinges, and other accessories to complete furniture pieces.
Repair, refurbish, or modify existing furniture as required.
Ensure all furniture pieces meet design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Select appropriate types of wood, laminates, veneers, or other materials based on job requirements.
Apply stains, varnishes, and other finishes to enhance furniture appearance and durability.
Maintain tools, machines, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
