This role requires a strong understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, tools, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or design specifications.
Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials to build furniture.
Manufacture and install custom furniture such as cabinets, wardrobes, tables, chairs, desks, and shelves.
Operate hand tools and power tools including saws, drills, planers, and sanders.
Apply veneers, laminates, and finishes such as varnish, polish, or paint.
Repair and restore existing furniture items as required.
