This role requires a strong understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, tools, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret design blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood and other materials to construct furniture pieces
Build custom furniture including tables, chairs, cabinets, beds, shelves, and wardrobes
Repair or refurbish damaged furniture
Operate woodworking machines, hand tools, and power tools safely and efficiently
Select the right type of wood and materials for each project
Apply stains, varnishes, polishes, or paints to finished products
Collaborate with designers, clients, and other team members to ensure project requirements are met
Maintain a clean and organized workshop.
