The Fund Accountant will play a key role in the accounting and reporting functions of their investment funds. This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate and financial records, reconciling transaction, and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

• Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly accounting activities for assigned funds, including managing the corporate accounts, budgeting, fund expenses, accruals, cash reconciliations, and cash forecasts.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all investment transactions, including purchases, sales, and income distributions.
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and schedules for assigned funds in compliance with the accounting standards and regulatory requirements of DFSA.
• Collaborate with internal teams, back office, operations and, compliance to ensure accurate and timely completion of deliverables.
• Assist in the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
• Conduct detailed analysis of fund performances, and insights to senior management.
• Monitor and reconcile discrepancies in fund evaluations, pricing, and cash positions.
• Stay updated with industry best practices, accounting regulations, and market trends related to investment funds.
• Contribute to process improvements.

• Bachelor\'s degree in accounting/Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years\' experience in fund accounting, preferably within an investment management firm or financial institution.
• Multi-asset experience is preferred
• String knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (FATCA) and regulatory requirements (DFSA) applicable to investment funds.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate complex financial information to stakeholders.
