Functional Consultant - Finance, Accounting, HR & Payroll (Odoo ERP)

Position Overview



The Functional Consultant is responsible for analyzing business requirements and implementing Odoo ERP modules related to Finance, Accounting, HR, and Payroll. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring accurate configuration, smooth process flow, and successful deployment of ERP functionalities.

Key Responsibilities



Conduct requirement-gathering sessions with business stakeholders for Finance, Accounting, HR, and Payroll processes. Analyze current business workflows and recommend optimized ERP-based solutions. Configure and implement relevant Odoo modules (Accounting, Invoicing, HR, Payroll, Employee Management, etc.). Prepare functional documentation including BRDs, SOPs, process maps, and test cases. Coordinate with technical consultants for required customizations, integrations, and system enhancements. Support data migration and validate master & transactional data accuracy. Facilitate UAT (User Acceptance Testing), resolve functional issues, and ensure readiness for go-live. Provide training to end-users and assist in creating user manuals. Troubleshoot functional issues and support post-implementation activities. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, HR policies, and payroll regulations (as applicable).
Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, HR Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum 3 years' experience

working with ERP systems, preferably Odoo. Strong knowledge of Finance, Accounting principles, HR processes, and Payroll cycles. Experience in functional ERP implementation and documentation. Ability to convert business needs into system configurations. Familiarity with Odoo module workflows and reporting capabilities. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and process-mapping skills. Strong communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
