Position Summary

: We are seeking a

Freight Operations Officer

based in Egypt to support and manage day-to-day freight and logistics operations.
The ideal candidate is a

graduate of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT)

with strong organizational and communication skills and a solid interest in freight forwarding and supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods through the supply chain, including freight, transportation and Custom clearance and any other costs related. Coordinate day-to-day freight operations: develop and implement freight plans, optimize routes, and manage freight schedules to meet delivery deadlines. Reply to client queries and provide regular updates on shipment status: use logistics / freight management systems to track shipments, identify potential delays, and proactively communicate with clients. Manage phone calls and emails from customers, internal stakeholders, and partners, accurately tracking and resolving business needs related to freight movement. Provide assistance to managers in performing operational functions related to freight operations. Assist in the pricing process by collecting and comparing prices and rates from service providers.

Requirements

Education:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in

Business, Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field

Preferred / Key Requirement:

Graduate of the

Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT)

, with a focus on logistics or supply chain management.

Experience & Skills:

Knowledge of logistics management principles and practices (internships or 0-3 years' experience in logistics / freight forwarding / shipping is an advantage). Strong organizational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple shipments and prioritize tasks to ensure on-time deliveries. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with a diverse audience, including senior management, customers, service providers, and internal departments. Flexibility to perform different tasks based on day-to-day business needs. Good command of the

English language

and

fluent Arabic speaker

. Good computer skills (MS Office; experience with logistics or ERP systems is a plus).

Pay: E15,000.00 - E20,000.00 per month
