Our client is a fast growing freight forwarding organization and we are recruiting a UAE experienced freight operations executive to join their Deira office.

The role is responsible for air, sea and land import and export freight operations across the world.

Role Summary

• Handle air, sea and land freight import and export shipments and cross trade enquiries.

• Follow up with operations and agents to ensure timely issuance of bookings and transportation.

• Document processing including quotes, Bill of Lading, packing lists, COO and invoices and customer clearance releases for the smooth delivery of cargo to customers.

• Prepare quotes for customers and agents

• Liaise with shipping agents and coordinate arrival and dispatch of container and air, sea and land freight shipments and time critical logistics.

• Negotiate lowest prices and fastest delivery with freight forwarders and shipping agents.

• Prepare authorization and shipping documentation for clearance of the goods from the port.

• Support the supply chain process through planning, on line allocation, pick release and invoicing to ensure customer requirements are met.

• Handle customer and vendor communication related to freight enquiries, quotations, shipment updates and rates.

• Prepare MIS reports.

• Review and sign off shipping documents while ensuring completeness and accuracy.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in air, sea and land freight and logistics within the UAE / GCC with in depth working knowledge of air, sea and land routes to determine the shortest, quickest and most cost-effective routing solutions to meet customer needs.

• Proven experience of taking ownership to satisfactorily resolve customer and vendor issues.

• Advanced Excel skills.

Candidate Profile

• Currently living in the United Arab Emirates \xe2\x80\x93 must be able to work in Deira.

• Fluent in English.

• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Education

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree
