This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Abu Dhabi National Hotels. The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process. JOB SUMMARY Responsible for handling corporate business opportunities for the cluster properties. Responsible for achieving and exceeding the hotel groups and events sales revenue goals. Provides day-to-day supervision to events sales associates that are on-property, dependent on the volume of local groups and events business. Contracts and closes local groups and events business and ensures that business is turned over properly across all cluster hotels and in a timely fashion for quality service delivery. Achieves groups and events revenue goals by actively up selling each business opportunity to maximize revenue. Implements the brand\xe2\x80\x99s service strategy and applicable brand initiatives in all aspects of the sales process and drives customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
  • Maximizing Revenue & Managing Profitability
  • Identifies, qualifies, and solicits new groups and events business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals.
  • Proactively solicits affiliate business associated with citywide event
  • Understands the overall market - competitors\xe2\x80\x99 strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply, and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
  • Maximizes revenue by up-selling packages and to corporate.
  • Identifies and implements process improvements and best practices.
  • Gains understanding of the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s primary target customer and service expectations.
  • Ensures successful performance by increasing revenues, controlling expenses, and providing a return on investment for the owner and the business.

Managing Sales Activities
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary materials and information.
  • Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
  • Follow company and department policies and procedures
  • Manages the sales efforts for the hotel related corporate business
  • Responds to incoming groups and events opportunities for the hotel.
  • Closes the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs.
  • Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
  • Designs, develops, and sells creative catered events.
  • Develops and manages corporate and events sales revenue and operation budgets and provides forecasting reports if required.
  • Identifies and assists with selling, implementing and following-through on corporate promotions.
  • Promotes accountability to drive superior business results.
  • Executes sales strategies and business processes.
  • Executes and supports Customer Service Standards and hotel\xe2\x80\x99s Brand Standards.
  • Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
  • Participates in and practice daily service basics of the brand

Building Successful Relationships
  • Works collaboratively with property Sales and Marketing colleagues and above property sales, as well as other hotel departments to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative.
  • Develops a close working relationship with operations to ensure execution of strategies at the hotel level.
  • Works with the management team to create and implement a groups and events sales plan addressing revenue, customers, and market.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor\'s degree in business, marketing, communication, or related field.
  • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
  • Applicant must hold an experience at the same capacity for at least 1-2 years
