Main Purpose of the Job Oversee and coordinate the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on building facilities. The Foreman - MEP is responsible for managing a team of skilled tradespeople, including electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians, and ensuring that work is completed on time, and to a high standard of quality. The Foreman - MEP is also responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies. Main Duties / Responsibilities The duties and responsibilities of a MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) Foreman typically is: 1. Supervision: The MEP Foreman is responsible for supervising a team of skilled tradespeople, including electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians, to ensure that work is completed on time, and to a high standard of quality. 2. Project Management: The MEP Foreman is responsible for managing project timelines, schedules, this includes coordinating with other teams, stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure that work is completed according to plan. 3. Technical Support: The MEP Foreman provides technical support to the team, including interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints, and troubleshooting technical issues related to MEP systems. 4. Safety Management: The MEP Foreman is responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies. This includes identifying potential hazards, implementing safety measures, and conducting regular safety inspections. 5. Quality Control: The MEP Foreman is responsible for ensuring that work is completed to a high standard of quality. This includes conducting regular inspections and tests to identify potential issues and ensuring that work is completed in accordance with industry standards and regulations. 6. Communication: The MEP Foreman communicates regularly with team members, clients, and other stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, resolve issues, and coordinate project activities. 7. Training and Development: The MEP Foreman is responsible for training and developing team members, including providing on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring to improve team performance and productivity. 8. Record Keeping: The MEP Foreman is responsible for maintaining accurate records related to project activities, including work orders, schedules, budgets, and safety inspections. Minimum qualifications / educational levels required for this position 1. Engineer/diploma in electrical /mechanical or equivalent. 2. Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, and a strong attention to detail lection Criteria Fluent in English and preferably Arabic language Excellent numerical and IT skills Education and experience, technical skills, leadership skills, communication skills, safety awareness, problem-solving skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Special Conditions Maintain acceptable standards of safety and comply with Company's Health, Safety and Environment Management System requirements. Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements May be required to use power and/or hand tools needed to complete jobs within specifications. Normal shift is 8-12 hours. What minimum experience is required for this position 5-7 years of experience in a related field, such as MEP systems installation, maintenance, and repair.
