ROLE PURPOSE:

The Ducting Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all ducting installation activities at the project site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, safety regulations, and Qatar Construction Standards (QCS). The role ensures timely completion of ducting works while maintaining quality and safety

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise ducting installation activities as per project drawings and specifications. Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Engineers, and other discipline foremen to ensure smooth workflow. Ensure all duct fabrication and installation works comply with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and approved method statements. Oversee installation of GI ducts, pre-insulated ducts, flexible ducts, and duct accessories (volume control dampers, fire dampers, etc.). Installation of equipment such as AHU, SPLIT, VRV and FAN. Verify duct alignment, level, and proper sealing to prevent leakage. Ensure supports, hangers, and insulation are installed according to standard practices. Assign tasks to duct fitters, helpers, and duct fabrication teams. Monitor daily work progress and report to the Site Engineer. Ensure timely availability of materials, tools, and equipment. Ensure works are executed as per approved shop drawings, method statements, and QA/QC standards. Follow and enforce safety rules and procedures in compliance with QHSE policies. Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams for inspections and safety checks. Maintain daily site records of work progress, manpower, and material usage. Assist in preparing site reports and provide inputs for progress updates to the project team. Report any discrepancies or delays to the Site Engineer promptly.

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:

Diploma / ITI in Mechanical, HVAC, Trade Certificate or related field. Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Ducting Foreman in HVAC projects (GCC/Qatar experience preferred). Thorough knowledge of duct fabrication, installation, and Qatar Construction Standards (QCS). Ability to read and interpret HVAC drawings, schematics, and shop drawings. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word,) . Strong analytical, numerical, and critical thinking skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams. Ability to supervise the work of skilled and semi-skilled subordinates.
