Job Description

To arrange for proper planning of work at site and to get daily instructions from the Site Engineer / Project Manager and to abide with the completion program of the site without delay in work. To guide the workers and to order for tools and materials in advance. To drop the workers at site and to unload materials in the right place as necessary. To do follow with sub-contractors for the progress and good quality of work Analyse the need for additional man power/additional work hours / outsource vendors. To ask for extra workers quite in advance, to plan and construct good quality work in the first instance. Make sure work not to be repeated and ensure the quality of work. To conduct toolbox talks to the workers whenever necessary and explain them every type of work and be sure that they understand your instructions. In the absence of efficiency and competence in workers, a 'WARNING' must be issued and if no progress is detected, it should be reported to the Project Manager. To look out for less waste in materials control wastage, to supervise for the safety of the site workers. To look for protection of equipment and tools. Adapting plans according to circumstances and resolving any problems that may arise during the work. Making sure the project is running according to schedule and budget. Operates as part of an overall project team. Need to work cooperatively, communicate effectively, and to maintain effective internal and external customer relations to accomplish. Focus on using best business practice to improve efficiency, by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity. Follow standard operating procedures for efficient business operations and ensure compliance with company standards and procedures. Various other duties as and when required and instructed by the management. Maintain safe working environment for all our people and company assets.
UAE Driving License is a must for this position.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Considerable knowledge of building maintenance and construction practices and methods.

Considerable knowledge of standard skilled trade operations and repair methods.

Considerable knowledge of the materials and tools used in landscaping and building work.

Ability to plan and direct the work of skilled and semi-skilled workers.

Ability to read and interpret blue-prints, sketches, and detailed drawings.

Ability to inspect building maintenance and construction work for adherence to plans, specifications, and work orders.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with subordinates and other employees.
