Job Summary:

The Civil Foreman supervises and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in civil construction tasks such as excavation, concreting, structural work, formwork, rebar installation, and finishing. This role ensures the work is performed according to project specifications, on schedule, and within budget, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise civil construction activities at the site. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications. Allocate work to laborers and subcontractors based on project timelines. Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards and design compliance. Monitor use of materials and equipment to prevent wastage. Maintain daily logs of work progress, issues, and manpower deployment. Ensure health and safety protocols are followed by all personnel on site. Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other trades. Report issues or delays promptly to site engineers or management. Train and guide workers in construction techniques and safety procedures.

Requirements:

Diploma or Technical Certificate in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in civil construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and equipment. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents. Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of construction safety regulations and practices.
