Driven to create unique home-grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is a UAE-based hospitality company with multiple concepts under its umbrella - SALT, Switch, Parker's, Grind, Somewhere and Public.
We are currently seeking to hire an experienced Food Safety Officer to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, maintain a clean and sanitary environment, and guarantee the quality of our food products. The ideal candidate will assist in implementing and enforcing food safety protocols, conduct inspections, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. *Food Safety Inspections*: Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential food safety hazards.
2. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP & Dubai Municipality food code, ADAFSA)
3. Training and Education: Provide training on food safety practices to employees
4. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and corrective actions.
5. Corrective Actions Investigate and address food safety incidents, implementing corrective actions.
6.Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvements to food safety processes and procedures.
Requirements
1. Education" bachelor's degree in food science, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or related field.
2. Certifications: Food Safety certifications (e.g., HACCP, FSMA, Food Safety Manager Certification).
3. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in food safety, quality control, or related field.
4.Knowledge: Understanding of food safety principles, regulations, and industry standards.
