Position Overview
The Food Buyer role at Al-Futtaim Dubai manages food purchasing and category performance across MENA stores and cafes. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, forecast, and order assigned food categories to ensure availability across stores
• Ensure all products meet M and S and local quality standards
• Achieve KPIs for sales, margin, market share, wastage, and markdowns
• Maintain optimal stock levels, catalogue count, and range performance
• Analyze market trends, pricing, and competitor activity to identify opportunities
• Develop annual category plans covering promotions, events, and new ranges
• Lead category reviews, benchmarking, and sourcing optimization
• Coordinate with Digital teams to maintain online catalogue accuracy and availability
• Supervise Category Assistants and coordinate with UK teams on shipments
• Partner with Marketing, Operations, Stores, and Logistics to support launches and supply chain efficiency
• Build strong stakeholder relationships across MENA and UK teams
• Lead people development through clear objectives, feedback, and engagement initiatives

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum five years of experience in Food Buying within FMCG environments
• Strong financial, market, and customer data analysis capability
• Proven contract negotiation and supplier management skills
• Experience in food technical and supply chain management
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP
• Results-driven mindset with the ability to work under pressure
