Food and beverage operations manager refer to the management of all aspects related to the provision and service of food and drinks within an establishment, such as restaurants, hotels, and catering services.

Menu Planning

: Creating a selection of dishes that appeal to the target audience while considering factors like seasonality, ingredient availability, and pricing. Effective menu planning is crucial for profitability and customer satisfaction.

Procurement

: Sourcing the ingredients and supplies needed for the kitchen and bar. This involves building relationships with reliable suppliers and managing inventory to minimize waste and ensure freshness.

Food Preparation

: Involves the actual cooking and presentation of dishes. Standardized recipes and kitchen workflows are essential for maintaining consistency and quality.

Service Delivery

: This includes front-of-house operations, where staff interact with customers, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Service quality is critical for customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Quality Control

: Continuous monitoring of food and service quality to meet health and safety regulations and customer expectations. This includes training staff and implementing best practices.
