Role Summary:

The

Fire Life Safety Engineer

is responsible for ensuring all fire protection and life safety systems are designed, installed, tested, and maintained in compliance with local civil defense regulations, international codes (such as NFPA), and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and approve FLS-related shop drawings, calculations, and material submittals (e.g., fire alarm, firefighting, emergency lighting, fire-rated doors).

Ensure compliance with local Fire Department and Civil Defense Authority requirements.

Conduct site inspections for FLS installations and ensure proper coordination with MEP works.

Supervise testing and commissioning of fire alarm, sprinkler, fire suppression, and emergency evacuation systems.

Coordinate with design consultants, contractors, and third-party testing agencies.

Assist in obtaining approvals from Civil Defense for system designs and final inspections.

Ensure all passive fire protection elements (e.g., fire-rated partitions, sealants, escape routes) are implemented correctly.

Prepare fire safety plans, risk assessments, and evacuation procedures where applicable.

Keep up-to-date records of inspections, test reports, and approvals.

Qualifications:

1.

Minimum 10 years

of overall experience.

2.

Minimum 5 years

specifically in quality functions on projects.

3.

Preferable PWA/ASHGHAL Approved

Pay: QAR7,000.00 - QAR7,500.00 per month
