Job Description

The Floor Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations on the assigned floor or area, ensuring smooth workflow, high-quality service, and adherence to company standards. The role involves supervising staff, managing cleanliness and presentation, addressing customer or guest needs, and coordinating with management to maintain efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of floor staff (housekeeping, service, or retail team)
Monitor cleanliness, presentation, and compliance with operational standards
Allocate daily tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion
Perform routine inspections and spot checks on work areas or merchandise
Assist in resolving customer/guest issues and complaints professionally
Train and guide new or junior staff in standard procedures
Ensure inventory and supplies are maintained at required levels
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., maintenance, front office, warehouse)
Enforce safety, hygiene, and company policy compliance
Report operational issues and staff performance to the manager
Qualifications & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent; diploma or degree in hospitality, retail, or business is a plus
1-4 years of relevant experience in hospitality, housekeeping, or retail operations
Prior supervisory experience is preferred
Strong understanding of service standards, cleanliness protocols, or retail floor management
Proficient in basic reporting and inventory tracking tools
