Prepare detailed 2D/3D shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and cutting lists for items like kitchens, wardrobes, wall panels, and counters in compliance with standards and client specifications.
Collaborate closely with the project engineers, manager etc. to interpret their visions and transform them into executable plans.
Conduct site visits to gather measurements and assess project feasibility, ensuring that all designs are practical and achievable.
Utilize CAD software to produce 2D, enabling clients and stakeholders to visualize the final product before construction begins.
Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including material lists, cutting lists etc. and project timelines, to facilitate effective project management.
Provide technical support to the production team during the manufacturing process, addressing any design-related challenges that arise.
Strong understanding of joinery construction, materials, hardware, and finishes.
Diploma / ITI / Bachelors degree.
At least 3-5 years of experience in joinery design or a similar role is crucial for understanding industry nuances.
