Analyze project specifications, drawings, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) to determine project costs.
Develop and maintain a cost database for materials and suppliers.
Tendering & Bidding:
Prepare competitive and well-documented tender submissions, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
Conduct risk analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities during the bidding process.
Liaise with procurement and suppliers for pricing and material availability.
Vendor & Supplier Coordination:
Source and negotiate prices with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Evaluate quotations and compare them against project budgets.
Technical Analysis & Value Engineering:
Review project blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate cost estimations.
Provide value engineering solutions to optimize costs while maintaining quality and functionality.
Project Planning & Scheduling:
Assist project managers in defining scope, budgets, and timelines based on estimated costs.
Work closely with design and site teams to monitor project progress against estimated costs.
Client & Stakeholder Communication:
Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure smooth project execution.
Present estimates and financial breakdowns to stakeholders.
Cost Control & Reporting:
Track project expenses and update cost estimations based on actual site conditions.
Prepare post-project cost analysis reports to refine future estimations.
Market Research & Industry Trends:
Stay updated on market trends, material costs, and new construction technologies.
Analyze cost fluctuations and suggest improvements in procurement strategies.
