A leading Discount/Gifts Hypermarket located in a high-density labor area is looking for an experienced Fish Butcher / Fishmonger to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced

Fish Butcher / Fishmonger

to join our supermarket team in the UAE. The ideal candidate should have expertise in handling, cleaning, cutting, and filleting various types of fish and seafood. A strong focus on hygiene, product quality, and customer service is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean, scale, gut, and fillet different types of fish and seafood according to customer or display requirements. Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of fresh and frozen seafood (FIFO method). Maintain cleanliness of the seafood display, preparation area, and tools in compliance with UAE food safety standards. Monitor seafood freshness, appearance, and presentation at all times. Assist customers with selection, custom cuts, cooking tips, and product information. Weigh, label, and package seafood accurately. Support inventory control and assist in ordering stock as needed. Dispose of waste and spoiled items in line with hygiene protocols. Follow all HACCP and Dubai Municipality (or relevant authority) health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a

Fish Butcher or Fishmonger

, preferably in a

supermarket or seafood store

. Strong knowledge of seafood varieties and cutting techniques. Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene regulations in the UAE. Ability to work in cold storage and seafood prep areas. Good communication skills and customer service approach. Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items.

Preferred:

Previous experience in the

UAE/GCC retail or supermarket sector

. English communication (Arabic, Hindi, or Malayalam is a plus). Food handling or hygiene certification (advantageous).
