Responsibility of a fire watch is to stand watch at an assigned location and identify and prevent fire incident / any hazardous situations and Emergency preparedness& Response to prevent potential harm to people and environment. Policies, Processes & Procedures: Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner Follow and comply to information Security Rules and data security measures in order to protect the company information / intellectual properties Day- to-day operations: Deploy & Maintain Firefighting equipment on board in a state of readiness. Inspecting an area prior to any hot work being performed to ensure all flammable and combustible material shall be removed. Stand-by or monitor hot work locations as per the hot work permit requirements. Maintain work area housekeeping and coordinate with respective trads/Client for any assistance. Monitor compliance to Hot Work procedure on assigned areas and report unsafe act/ condition. Assist to Emergency response Team in case required during an emergency. Safety, Quality & Environment: Responsible to comply with relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls and to behave in a manner, which ensures that their actions or omissions, do not adversely affect the environment, health, safety and wellbeing of themselves, colleagues, contractors or members of the public. To complete all mandatory training related to job skill. Complying with all Safety directives, and work instructions Immediately reporting any incident or potential hazard to their Supervisor or HSE supervision. STOP the task if you feel yourself or others may be harmed Related Assignments: Perform other related duties or assignments as directed by vessel deck duty fireman or lead fireman. Working knowledge of English languages. Knowledge of other languages will be an added advantage. Ability to understand spoken and written instruction. Technical competencies: Ability to read and understand work permit requirement & work scope Good knowledge in fire prevention in marine field & Familiar with the ship/Rig general arrangement. Ability to operate basic/Advance firefighting & rescue equipment\xe2\x80\x99s Good awareness about hot work/Fire related risk and other safety related procedures & hazard identification. Good knowledge of Fire and Rescue techniques/skill. Behavioural Competencies: Safety, quality and environment conscious. Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity. Attendance & punctuality.
