ELECTRICAL Engineer

System Design and Integration

Design electrical control systems for fire pumps, ensuring compliance with NFPA 20 and IEC standards. Integrate fire pump systems with building automation systems (BAS) and SCADA systems. Specify electrical components such as control panels, sensors, relays, and circuit breakers. Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure seamless integration of fire pump systems into building designs.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Perform routine inspections of fire pump electrical systems to identify potential issues. Diagnose and repair faults in control panels, wiring, and sensors. Implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure system reliability. Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and PLC programmers to troubleshoot issues.

Testing and Commissioning

Conduct functional tests on fire pump systems to verify proper operation. Test control panels, alarms, and sensors to ensure they meet safety standards. Commission new fire pump systems, ensuring they are fully operational and compliant. Document test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.

Safety and Compliance

Ensure all electrical systems meet NFPA, IEC, and local fire safety codes. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards in fire pump operations. Implement safety measures such as grounding, circuit protection, and emergency shutdown systems. Stay updated on changes in fire safety regulations and electrical standards.

Technical Leadership and Training

Supervise a team of electrical technicians and engineers. Provide technical training on fire pump control systems and safety protocols. Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintenance and troubleshooting. Foster a culture of safety and technical excellence within the team.

FIRE PUMPS QC Engineer

Quality Control (QC) Inspections

Conduct detailed inspections of fire pump components during the manufacturing process. Verify that materials, components, and assemblies meet design specifications and quality standards. Use precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to check dimensions and tolerances. Inspect welding, painting, and assembly processes to ensure compliance with standards.

Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) Oversight

Plan and execute FAT procedures to verify the performance of fire pumps. Test fire pumps under simulated operating conditions to ensure they meet performance criteria (e.g., flow rate, pressure). Inspect control panels, sensors, and alarms to ensure proper functionality. Document test results and prepare FAT reports for stakeholders.

Compliance and Standards

Ensure fire pumps comply with NFPA 20, IEC, and other relevant standards. Verify that manufacturing processes adhere to ISO 9001 or other quality management systems. Stay updated on changes in fire safety regulations and standards.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain detailed records of QC inspections and FAT results. Prepare inspection reports, test certificates, and compliance documentation. Communicate findings to manufacturers, engineers, and customers.

Problem Resolution

Identify defects or non-conformities during inspections and tests. Work with manufacturers to resolve issues and implement corrective actions. Ensure that corrective actions are verified and documented.
