Job Description

We are looking for a Fire Protection Engineer Civil Defense Certified - join immediately.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and supervise installation of fire protection systems

on site, including

fire pumps, FM-200 suppression systems, foam systems, sprinklers, hose reels, fire alarm systems, and emergency lighting

, ensuring compliance with NFPA standards, UAE Civil Defense regulations, and project specifications.

Conduct detailed site surveys and inspections

to verify proper installation, hydraulic performance, equipment sizing, and system layout as per approved drawings and specifications.

Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and method statements

from contractors and suppliers, ensuring adherence to project requirements and UAE Fire & Life Safety Codes.

Attend on-site coordination and technical meetings

with clients, consultants, and contractors; raise and respond to RFIs, resolve technical issues, and provide real-time guidance for system installation and commissioning.

Monitor installation progress, quality, and compliance

, ensuring fire protection systems are installed correctly, pressure and flow-tested, and commissioned according to Civil Defense and NFPA standards.

Coordinate with procurement and suppliers

for timely delivery of fire protection equipment, spare parts, and materials, ensuring compatibility with site requirements and project timelines.

Support system commissioning, testing, and handover

activities, including flow testing of fire pumps, FM-200 system discharge testing, sprinkler system checks, fire alarm testing, and emergency light verification.

Assist in Civil Defence inspections and approvals

, preparing required documentation, reports, and compliance certificates for all installed systems.

Collaborate with design and technical office teams

to ensure site changes are updated in shop drawings, BOQs, and hydraulic calculations.

Maintain comprehensive site documentation

, including daily progress reports, technical clarifications, inspection records, and as-built drawings.

Provide technical guidance and support

to site engineers, supervisors, and contractors, ensuring installation aligns with project scope, safety standards, and UAE regulations.

Qualifications:

Engineering Degree Holder - Mechanical or Electrical Civil Defense License NFPA and UAE Fire Code UAE driving license.
