We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems in commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of fire safety codes, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
-Execute the installation of fire alarm systems in new construction projects, including wiring, device placement, and panel setup.
- Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems according to local codes and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty fire alarm systems and components.
- Provide technical support and training to customers on fire alarm operations.
- Conduct regular inspections and necessary repairs to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and installations.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as electricians and contractors, to ensure coordinated work.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes related to fire safety.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a fire alarm technician or in a related field.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems, components, and codes (NFPA standards).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work at heights and in various environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
