Finishing Project Engineer

Job Purpose:

To manage, supervise, and coordinate all finishing works (interiors, facade, MEP coordination with finishes, and external works) ensuring high-quality execution, compliance with project specifications, and timely delivery within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning & Coordination

Review project specifications, drawings, and material submittals related to finishing works. Coordinate with

architects, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers

to ensure compliance and approvals. Prepare and update work schedules for finishing activities aligned with overall project timelines.

Execution & Supervision

Supervise and monitor all finishing works on site (block works, plastering, painting, flooring, false ceiling, carpentry, joinery, waterproofing, aluminum & glazing, and facade finishes). Ensure proper sequence of finishing works and coordination with

MEP services

to avoid rework. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, quality, and safety compliance.

Quality & Compliance

Ensure all finishing materials meet approved specifications and consultant/Client requirements. Conduct

snagging and de-snagging

works and manage handing-over procedures. Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation related to finishing works.

Cost & Procurement Support

Assist the procurement team in identifying finishing material requirements and verifying suppliers/subcontractors. Control wastage of materials and monitor productivity of manpower and subcontractors.

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare daily/weekly progress reports for the Project Manager. Highlight risks, delays, or technical issues and propose solutions. Document inspection requests (IRs), method statements, and work permits related to finishing works.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.

Experience:

Minimum

5-10 years of experience

as a Site/Finishing Engineer.

Mandatory experience with a Main Contractor in Dubai.

Proven track record in

high-rise towers, hotels, or luxury residential/commercial projects.

Strong technical knowledge of finishing materials and methods. Familiar with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, and consultant approval processes. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and MS Office. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
