Synopsis

The role will be accountable for managing financial reporting process within the company, including but not limited to preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and necessary reports to the board and other stakeholders. It will supervise and drive the aforementioned process starting from setting up and owning the financial accounting policies and internal controls over financial reporting to making sure they are properly honoured by the team, peers and business colleagues. The role will also be required to manage relationships with external auditors.

Accountabilities

• Manage corporate financial reporting process, including but not limited to preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, monthly financial reports to business leads and other stakeholders
• Manage and coordinate financial month closing process
• Develop, maintain and own financial accounting policies as well as internal controls over financial reporting matrix and process ensuring they are honoured by finance colleagues and the business colleagues
• Initiate and manage general ledger account schedule review process looking for justification for the aged balances
• Lead financial reporting projects, such as implementation of changes in accounting standards, COA modifications, financial system logic update ensuring continues process improvement to deliver quality output faster
• Managing and coordinating the process of internal and external audit
• Review publicly disclosed corporate financial information for accuracy and consistency
• Providing accounting advice and guidance over revenue and cost recognition principles/approach to be applied on a case-by-case basis

Education & Experience

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Finance/Accounting as a minimum
• Professional certification in IFRS is a must, e.g. CA, ACCA, CPA etc.
• Big4 experience is a significant advantage
• Minimum of 7+ Years of related experience required
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent English skills (written and verbal)
• Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Power Point
• Knowledge of Oracle is an advantage
