The UAE FP&A Analyst will be a core member of the UAE MMC (FP&A) Team, reporting directly to the MMC UAE CFO The role\xe2\x80\x99s purpose is primary responsibility in the preparation, distribution and analysis of financial management information for MMC UAE, requiring a high level of interaction with MMC FP&A Finance colleagues, business leaders, and functional leaders across IMEA. We will count on you to:
  • Partner with controllership and FP&A lead: Collaborate closely with the controllership and FP&A lead to identify synergies across Opcos\'s financial operations
  • Assist on improvement projects: Work alongside the country and regional CFO on various adhoc improvement projects, including accruals, CRA, and other initiatives
  • Design and establish MMC reporting requirements: In collaboration with the regional team, develop and implement reporting requirements for MMC, ensuring accurate financial reporting
  • Support M&A activities: Provide support as needed for any merger and acquisition activities, contributing your financial expertise to facilitate successful transactions
  • Client-level financial management: Partner with segment, practice, and business development leaders to understand and manage client-level financial results and outlook
  • Drive financial collaboration: Foster a culture of financial collaboration and ownership across the business to ensure alignment with financial goals
  • KPI tracking and understanding: Assist the country CFO & CEO in comprehending and monitoring Annual KPIs, offering valuable insights to drive strategic decisions
  • Review financial results and assumptions: Collaborate with Regional FP&A leads to take ownership of and review financial results, questioning forecast and budget assumptions to meet country-level targets
  • Functional alignment and understanding: Work closely with functional departments such as FP&A, Operations, HR, and LCPA to enhance alignment and understanding of financial matters at the country level
  • Challenge business strategy: Develop an in-depth understanding of Marsh and Mercer businesses, effectively challenging business strategies and assumptions based on your financial insights
For MMC BAU Specific Requirements:
  • Month-end flash process: Coordinate the creation and distribution of the monthly flash to the UAE business, conduct detailed variance reviews with the business, and present the UAE flash during regional flash calls
  • Client-level CSR walk: Prepare and present the client-level CSR walk, submitting it in EPM (Marsh) and collaborating with controllership for revenue and expense close reviews
  • Monthly operating report (MOR): Prepare MOR with insightful commentary and detailed client-level information, fostering a comprehensive understanding of financial performance
  • Close calendar management: Set and manage the monthly close calendar in collaboration with Operations and Controllership to ensure a streamlined financial close process
  • Forecast ownership: Take charge of the monthly business forecast meeting, reviewing and analyzing business submissions, and loading forecast information and variance analyses into the financial system
What you need to have:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting / Finance
  • A minimum of 7 years of FP&A experience gained in an MNC environment or sizable companies
  • Prior experience in the Insurance Industry is preferred
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that foster positive relationships and teamwork
  • Exceptional proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
