Job Summary

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization by managing accounting operations, financial planning, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and internal controls. The role supports strategic decision-making, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives financial efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts Provide variance analysis and actionable insights to management Support strategic initiatives, investments, and business expansion decisions

Accounting & Reporting

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, payroll) Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Manage month-end and year-end closing processes Maintain compliance with IFRS / IAS (or local GAAP)

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity positions Manage banking relationships, facilities, and funding requirements Optimize cash utilization and cost of funds

Compliance & Controls

Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, Corporate Tax, Withholding, etc.) Coordinate audits with external auditors and regulatory authorities Develop and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures Ensure compliance with company laws and regulatory requirements

Management & Leadership

Lead and mentor finance and accounting team members Set KPIs and conduct performance reviews Improve financial systems, processes, and automation Collaborate with operations, sales, HR, and senior management

Risk Management

Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies Monitor credit risk, operational risk, and compliance risk Support insurance, contracts, and financial risk assessments

Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Professional Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Professional certification preferred:

CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA

Experience

Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting Prior experience as Finance Manager / Senior Accountant / Finance Lead Industry experience: [Retail / Real Estate / FMCG.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of financial reporting and IFRS Experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Tally, etc.) Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills Knowledge of tax laws and regulatory frameworks

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting Budget adherence and cost optimization Cash flow efficiency Audit and compliance outcomes Process improvement and automation initiatives
