The successful incumbent will provide oversight and overall coordination of accounting functions for the Near East UAE region to ensure that accounting & controlling activities are performed at a high level of accuracy and timeliness.

Roles and Responsibilities: Planning process:
  • Support the budgeting process long term Forecast and the planning cycle of the organization. Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver relevant reporting of financial data analytics, monthly reports, key financial metrics.
  • Support in WFP (Work Force Planning) using TM1 system software
Month-end closing process:
  • Drive the closing process and manage the accounting team to ensure closing activities are performed within the deadlines
  • Monitor and review GL reconciliations and ensure quality of accounts reconciliation and timely resolution of aged and reconciled items
  • Support Regional and local team in monitoring and ensuring management of Master data in terms of cost elements
  • Manage Invoice and Expense verification, technical accounting activities including general ledger, accounting period closing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and revenue in alignment with GBS and BI standards
  • Accurately track and report expenses to all departments within cost center IBIS and GBS template
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of accounting activities such as transactions, reconciliations, closing and reporting against established KPIs and in compliance with local financial SOPs and BI Corporate policies
  • Monitor and manage PO in order to be accurate in the P&L and balance sheet and Invoice track in accordance to the local ERP system
  • Ensure accurate FX Rate calculation for 7 different countries
Year-end closing process:
  • Responsible for Year-end close planning and reporting. Monitor and analyze financial data, establish and enforce proper accounting controls over provisions and different year-end close activities in line with GBS guidelines

  • Manage and support Inter-company reconciliation to ICAR to ensure invoices and transactions are entered accurately and on time into the system
Audit:
  • Act as a main point of contact for external auditors during year-end audit. Manage audit deadlines, fieldwork and findings

Reporting:
  • Perform accounting procedures at a highly complicated level
  • Reporting: CPC ; country performance call for the reports and commentaries.
  • Deep knowledge of how SAP and reporting systems integrate with other applications to meet reporting needs
  • Highly proficient knowledge of P&L and balance Sheet

Cross functional involvement:
  • Coach others on key accounting concepts and principles
  • Understand risk mitigation techniques and implement controls to effectively manage risks
  • Good understanding of external reporting, internal controls and regulatory requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelors in Business Administration and/or Economics with major in Accounting and Finance
  • Minimum 4 years of expereince in a similar role of managing the accounting funciton
  • Qualification in CPA, ACCA and knowledge in IFRS is preferred
  • Previous work experience into similar role within the MENA region is preferable
  • Previous experience using systems such as AFO, One Reporting, MS Office Advanced, SAP IBIS and GBS is a must
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Strong communication skill is a must and cross functional collaboration is key
  • Proficient in MS Excel & Power BI
  • Strong planning, organizational and administrative skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Analytical skills and problem solving
  • Capable of organizing, planning, and prioritizing tasks
