Position Summary & Main Purpose

Under the supervision of the Head of Accounting and Control, the role is responsible for day-to-day accounting and financial transaction processing with specific focus on AP & AR.

Role & Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable & Credit Control Monitoring of receivables including regular follow up with customers on outstanding receivables. Appraise the management on long overdue outstanding for appropriate actions. Accounting of all credit notes and receipts on daily basis. Preparation of credit overdue analysis for hold order release as and when required. Circulation of monthly SOA to all customers by 6th of every month Periodic reconciliation of accounts with customers

Accounts Payables Accounting of purchase, debit / credit notes from suppliers including marketing expenses through MFM Software. Ensuring supplier payment as per agreed credit terms. Reconciliation of accounts with brand companies and other suppliers. Co-ordinate with SSC team for 3 way voucher match. Preparation of all payments, collection documents (LC/DA) ensuring all payments are within due dates. Managing petty cash.

Accounting & Auditing

Review the work of 4 contracted accounting clerks to process day to day accounting including T&E review, month end booking closing activity. Help with the preparation of monthly VAT Return data and arranging details/documents for consultant review. Inter Company Reconciliation four times a year. Preparing weekly BRS. Co-ordination with banks for all day-to-day banking needs. Preparation of Monthly Audit Schedules in line with Audit Requirement. Provide support during Internal/Statutory Audit. Provide support in preparation of monthly structure cost report. Proper Archival of all accounting documents.

Others Participate in enhancement of internal control policies and procedures. Support implementation of new financial systems/system updates. Assist in ad-hoc duties when required.

Profile Requirements (Education / Experience & Background / Skills & Competencies)

University degree holder in Financial Accounting. Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Financial Accounting. Strong excel skills are mandatory. Accounting software experience (JDE preferred). Organizational and interpersonal skills. Strong English skills (written/spoken) are mandatory. Must have VAT working knowledge.
