Job Description
Global Pulse Confederation (GPC) represents all segments of the pulse industry value chain from growers, researchers, logistic suppliers, traders, exporters and importers to government bodies, multilateral organizations, processors, canners, and consumers. Its membership includes 24 National Associations and over 600 private sector members. GPC is based in Dubai and US. In UAE, it is licenced by Dubai Multi Commodity Centre (DMCC). We are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant. The role will be based in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible from all the financial transactions like daily accounting entries, invoicing, bill payments, preparing monthly financial statements, handling the needs of audit processes, filing taxes in UAE, US, and India when necessary. JOB TITLE: FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT JOB DESCRIPTION: ROLES and RESPOSIBILITIES
- Manage all accounting transactions that include bookkeeping and handling daily accounting activities required to maintain the general ledger.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, perform month-end, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
- Handle all bank transactions in a timely manner, prepare invoices and receipts.
- Monitors petty cash payments and the replenishments.
- Familiar with UAE tax and respective regulations.
- Preferably knowledge on US and India tax and respective regulations
- Assist in the preparation of audit files and liaise with external auditors to ensure successful completion of annual financial audits.
- Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations, including tax filings and other statutory reporting obligations.
- Stay updated with evolving accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and leverage best practices.
- Minimum 4 years work experience as an accountant in UAE
- Professional manner, integrity, strong work ethic
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Must be a member of ACCA/ICAS
- Proficiency in working on accounting programs (QuickBooks preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Accounting & Auditing Standards (IFRS)
- MS Office proficiency, especially advanced Excel skills
- ACCA/ICAS Membership (Required)
