Synopsis

The role primarily focuses on providing support related Financial Reporting and Control to Etihad Airways. Additional support is required on the regular management information reporting used to track operational performance and drive management decisions. The role also requires conducting deep analysis of transactional data and playing a hands on role on Etihad finance transformation initiatives.

Accountabilities

1. Perform regular financial reporting and control activities for assigned entities including daily transactional analysis to monthly, quarterly, half yearly and year end reporting.
2. Produce regular Management Information (MI) aimed at providing full transparency over departmental performance using industry benchmarks, financial metrics, KPIs
3. Review transactional data to provide Management insights into opportunities to improve operational performance and mitigate financial risk
4. Leverage existing tools (SAP, Excel etc) to support automate and enhance Management and financial reporting using RPA, machine learning etc.
5. Support core Financial Reporting & Control team in resolving complex transactional issues by consulting on resolution action plan and suitable accounting methodology
6. Support team Manager to work toward minimising highlighted Audit Controls risks faced across Financial Reporting & Control teams.
7. Support team Manager in delivery of business change initiatives aimed at bringing about efficiencies, cost reduction and service quality improvements

Education & Experience

• Finance related Bachelors Degree as a minimum.
• Chartered Accountant qualification or working towards one.
• Minimum of 5+ Years of related experience required.
• Experience working in SAP systems
