Page 1 JOB DESCRIPTION JOB DESCRIPTION BASIC INFORMATION Position Title Finance Manager Department Finance Reporting To CEO Number of Direct Reports 2 3 JOB PURPOSE Provides financial information by analyzing everyday financial activities, interpreting financial information, and subsequently providing advice and guidance to upper management on future financial plans. This involves financial forecasting to enable the company's leaders to make sound business decisions and meet the company's objectives. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Key Responsibilities Managerial Responsibilities ? Help determine financial strategy and policy, arranging the appropriate funding and managing financial risks in the organization. ? Responsible for FP&A, IRFS standards, financial processes, auditing and internal control, cost controlling, Tax & licenses. ? Formulate departments budget in conjunction with divisional and organizational budget, tracks expenses and ensure adherence to the assigned budgets Core Responsibilities ? Collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries, and financial statements. ? Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company's actual performance compared to the business plans. ? Develop trends and projections for the firm's finances. ? Perform internal audits to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained. ? Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met. ? Instruct the team on accounting standards and how to properly book various transactions. ? Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports. ? Responsible for the efficiency of the department in delivering all the tasks. ? Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and procedures. ? To keep abreast of current developments relating to VAT and other taxation issues in all jurisdictions. ? Prepare, review, and submit monthly VAT returns for the group. ? Manage and assist with tax compliance queries across the group internally and with FTA. ? Ensure payroll is processed on time and all deductions are accurately made and adequate cash is always maintained to meet all employee payments. ? Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company. ? Self-directed and takes the initiative in achieving team goals. ? Perform other responsibilities and tasks as directed by the manager to meet department/division objectives. Page 2 QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Educational Qualifications ? University graduate in Finance and Accounting. ? Professional Qualification such as ACCA/ CA / CPA is a must. Years of Experience ? 7 years of relevant work experience. Minimum 2 years of experience in the UAE. Nature of Experience ? Proven experience as Finance Manager ? Minimum 2 years of experience in leading a team. ? Self-directed with experience in financial preparations and management accounting. ? Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations. ? Expereince in presenting reports to stakeholder /board members Language Skills ? Proficient in English KEY INTERACTIONS Key Internal Interaction Nature of Interaction Line Manager ? For Day-to-day reporting Executive Mgt, Board, BU leaders ? Making presentations, business case, change management and related matters pertaining to Finance Business Solutions.
