shall be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the shipping company. This includes financial reporting and ensuring compliance with international & maritime financial regulations. The role bridges accounting, operations, and management to maintain financial health and transparency across the fleet and shore-based operations.
Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
Establish & maintain relationships with Banks and keeps an excellent relation with the existing clients.
Monitoring Day to Day financial operation in coordination with the accounts team and related departments.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
Accounting & Compliance
Ensure compliance with international and UAE financials regulations.
Oversee vessel accounting, including revenue recognition from chartering and freight income.
Manage audits (internal and external) and liaise with auditors, classification societies, and regulators.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
Supervise cash flow, manage bank relationships, and optimize working capital.
Handle loan agreements, ship financing, and leasing arrangements.
Manage insurance claims, P&I club settlements, and financial aspects of vessel sales/purchases.
Strategic & Managerial Role
Provide management with financial insights to guide decisions on
fleet expansion, chartering strategy

Support top management in
financial modelling and investment appraisals
for new vessels or routes.
Lead and mentor finance staff across locations
